Fresh out of high school and starting my first year of college, I was full of life. I was happy, ambitious, and excited about everything the future had to offer. I loved fashion, music, spending time with friends, and making memories. I had just begun pursuing a degree in chemistry and truly believed the world was full of endless possibilities.
Then I met him.
At first, he seemed like the perfect guy—kind, charming, confident, and generous. He made me feel special and gave me the impression that he would give me the world. Looking back now, I realize I fell in love with the person he wanted me to see, not the person he truly was.
After two years together, we got married. Our wedding was beautiful, and our honeymoon was everything I had dreamed of. Not long after, I found out I was pregnant with our first child. I thought I was beginning the happiest chapter of my life.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The man I married was completely different from the man I had dated. The kindness faded. The generosity disappeared. The love I thought we shared slowly turned into control, selfishness, and betrayal.
He became someone who only cared about himself. He was stingy, emotionally unavailable, and eventually chose to chase other women instead of honoring the marriage we had built together. The promises he once made meant nothing, and the life I had imagined for our family slowly fell apart.
That was the beginning of a nightmare that lasted for many years.
I never imagined that someone who once made me feel so loved could leave me feeling so broken. There were moments when I questioned myself, my worth, and whether I would ever find happiness again.
But this blog isn’t just about the pain.
It’s about surviving, healing, rebuilding, and finding myself again. It’s about sharing the lessons I learned, the mistakes I made, and the strength I discovered along the way. If my story helps even one person recognize the signs, find hope, or realize they are not alone, then every word I write will be worth it.
This is where my story begins.
